Recent findings have revealed Botswana as the ‘cradle of human kind’. Scientists have identified northern Botswana as the place of origion for human kind, with researchers saying the ancestors of Homo sapiens began there 200 000 years ago. The study, published on 28th October 2019 revealed that ‘ancestors of modern humans thrived for 70 000 years in this region before climate change led them to migrate out of Africa and eventually span the globe’.
